Message from Ms Walker
Welcome Back!
We hope everyone enjoyed a lovely October half-term break and had the opportunity to relax, recharge and spend some special time with family and friends.
It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to school, ready for another exciting half term of learning, new opportunities and plenty of fun. We have lots to look forward to as we begin the countdown to Christmas, and we are excited to see the children continue to grow, learn and achieve over the coming weeks.
We look forward to sharing all the exciting things happening across our school with you!
Rocksteady Concert
We are delighted to invite parents and carers to our Rocksteady concert on Thursday 10th December at 2.15pm in the school hall. The concert will showcase the fantastic progress made by the children who have been taking part in Rocksteady music sessions since September. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to share their musical talents and show you what they have been learning. Please do come along, show your support and enjoy what promises to be a fantastic performance!
Children In Need-Friday 13th November
We are excited to be taking part in Run Pudsey for BBC Children in Need on Friday 13th November!
To mark the occasion, children are welcome to come to school in non-uniform, and it would be lovely if they could include something spotty!
Rather than asking families to bring in a donation, we have decided to raise money through a sponsored running challenge. Throughout the day, the children will take part in their own Run Pudsey challenge on our Launton Lap Track, with each year group completing a distance appropriate to their age:
EYFS: 1 or 2 laps
Year 1: 2 laps
Year 2: 3 laps
KS2: 1 mile (approximately 7 laps)
The challenge will be spread throughout the school day, giving everyone the opportunity to get involved and do their bit for this fantastic cause!
Families will be able to sponsor their child online, with all money raised going directly to BBC Children in Need. If you would like to sponsor your child, please sign up using the school fundraising page and enter our unique school code:

Our school code: F45F
Finally, please ensure that children wear trainers to school on the day or bring a pair with them so that they are ready to take part.
We are looking forward to seeing lots of spots, plenty of smiles and some fantastic running as we come together to support Children in Need!
Supporting Poppy's Marathon Challenge
We would also like to celebrate Poppy's fantastic fundraising efforts in support of BBC Children in Need. Poppy is taking on a marathon challenge as part of Run with Pudsey and Joe Wicks, raising money to help children and young people across the UK. She was even interviewed on BBC Radio Oxford on Wednesday 4th November, where she had the opportunity to talk about her challenge and the reasons behind her fundraising. We are incredibly proud of her determination and enthusiasm and would love our school community to get behind her!
If you would like to find out more or make a donation, you can visit her fundraising page here:
