This week's news is from Rowan Class

Rowan class have really enjoyed developing their Geographical skills this term. We have been looking at Launton School from an aerial viewpoint on Goggle Maps and seeing if we could spot our house from the street views. The pupils have developed their mapping skills by drawing aerial maps of the school field and classroom as well as creating their own keys.

Grady said, “I really enjoyed participating in the orienteering activity as we had to find letters from the numbered zones to build words”.

“The best bit was working with my buddy and seeing who was going to collect all the letters first,” said Lena.

George said, “I liked the compass directions game on the playground because it was fun”.

Rowan pupils have thoroughly enjoyed using maps to participate in different orienteering activities such as following compass directions and collecting letters from different points outside to create words. Can you solve the challenge?

If so, please come and tell Ms Paterson or Ms Terry when you see them on the gate in the morning.
