Friday 9th March

Arrivers, leavers and new adventures for all

A fond farewell to Mrs Long

After many years in a number of different classes, Mrs Long has wished us a fond "farewell". She has battled snow and ice to travel to Launton from Banbury each day so that she could maintain her close association with our school, whilst working at her other setting in Banbury too, but our loss is Banbury's gain.

On Tuesday she enjoyed a tea party with Ash Class. She was presented with a giant card by all the children, with their own memories of her and much cake was consumed. Friday's assembly and presentation (and staff dinner) were rescheduled when the school was closed due to snow but will go ahead at a time to suit Mrs Long and we will invite Mrs Long for afternoon tea again later this term.

Welcome back to the intrepid cavers, climbers, high-rope walkers and canoeists returning this evening, safe, sound and sleepy, from Woodlands.
